  6. Payment Plans
    1. Basic (Free): A free tutor listing that is visible in the tutor directory and allows the tutor to receive and reply to student enquiries. Basic listings do not include the additional profile features described under the Premium plan and do not qualify for the Premium-only advertising benefits set out below.
    2. Premium Monthly: £3.99 per month, billed monthly in advance.
    3. Premium Annual: £34.99 per year, billed annually in advance (equivalent to approximately £2.92 per month, a saving of approximately 27% compared to monthly billing).
    4. Premium benefits include: display of the tutor's phone number, website link, social media links and WhatsApp contact on the public profile; a "Featured" badge on the tutor's search card; higher ranking in search results; and the course/class advertising benefits set out in the "Course and Class Advertising" section below. Premium benefits apply only while the Premium subscription is active.
  7. Course and Class Advertising
    1. Tutors on any plan may pay to advertise a specific course or class on the Site for a fixed duration. Advert fees are one-off charges (not recurring subscriptions) and the advert automatically expires at the end of its purchased duration.
    2. Standard advert prices:
      1. 1 month — £2.99
      2. 3 months — £7.99
      3. 6 months — £12.99
      4. 12 months — £19.99
    3. Premium discount: Premium subscribers receive a 20% discount on the 3-month, 6-month and 12-month advert options. The 20% discount does not apply to the 1-month advert.
    4. Free 1-month adverts for Premium tutors: Premium subscribers are entitled to two (2) free 1-month course adverts per rolling 365-day period, measured from the tutor's first free advert claim. Only one free advert may be active at a time; a second free advert becomes available once the first has expired or been removed.
    5. Free adverts are a benefit of Premium membership only. If a Premium subscription lapses, is cancelled or is downgraded to Basic, any unused free-advert allowance is forfeited and any active free advert will continue only until its scheduled expiry date.
    6. Advert fees are non-refundable once the advert has been published. No refund or credit is available in respect of a free 1-month advert that is removed before its scheduled expiry date.
  8. Payment Terms
    1. Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose. Payments are processed on the first day of each billing cycle.
    2. Payment Methods: By providing a payment method, you represent that you are authorised to use the payment method and authorise us to charge the subscription fees to your payment method.
    3. Invoices: We do not email an invoice for each recurring payment. Every invoice is available in your dashboard under Payment Plans → History, where you can view the date, amount, billing period and status of each payment and download a PDF invoice at any time. You will still receive an email confirming your initial subscription payment, and we will always email you if a payment fails.
    4. Pricing: Subscription fees may change at any time. We will notify you in advance of any pricing changes. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.
  9. Renewal of subscription
    1. Monthly Subscriptions:
      1. Monthly subscriptions are automatically renewed every month on the renewal date. The payment method on file will be charged the current monthly rate unless the subscription is cancelled before the renewal date.
    2. Annual Subscriptions:
      1. Annual subscriptions are automatically renewed every year on the renewal date. The payment method on file will be charged the current annual rate unless the subscription is cancelled before the renewal date.

    2. Subscribers will have the option to cancel their subscription before the renewal date if they do not agree to the new price.
  12. Cancellation Policy
    1. Monthly Subscribers
      1. Subscribers can cancel their monthly subscription at any time. To avoid being charged for the next month, the cancellation must be completed before the renewal date.
    2. Annual Subscribers
      1. Subscribers can cancel their annual subscription at any time. If the subscription is cancelled before the renewal date, it will not renew, but the subscriber will continue to have access to the service until the end of the current subscription period.
    3. Downgrade to Basic on Cancellation: When a Premium subscription is cancelled or lapses, the tutor's account is automatically moved to the free Basic plan at the end of the current billing period. The tutor's profile remains visible in the directory, but Premium-only features (phone number, website link, social media links, WhatsApp, Featured badge, higher ranking in search results, discounted and free course adverts) will no longer be shown or available. The tutor may re-subscribe to Premium at any time to restore these features.
  13. Refund Policy
    1. All subscription payments are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the service until the end of the current billing period. After the billing period ends, you will no longer have access to Premium features and your account will revert to the free Basic plan.
    2. Course and class advertising fees are non-refundable once the advert has been published. Removing an advert before its scheduled expiry date does not entitle the tutor to a refund or credit for the unused duration. This includes free 1-month course adverts granted to Premium tutors, which carry no monetary refund entitlement.
  14. Payment Failures
    1. If a payment fails on the renewal date, the subscriber will be notified, and a grace period of 5 days will be provided to update the payment information. If the payment is not successfully processed within the grace period, the subscription will be cancelled.
  15. Subscription Management
    1. Subscribers can manage their subscription settings, including cancellation, payment method updates, and plan changes, through their account dashboard on the website.
  16. Plan Changes
    1. Basic to Premium (Upgrade):
      1. Tutors on the Basic plan may upgrade to Premium (monthly or annual) at any time. Premium benefits take effect immediately upon successful payment.
    2. Premium to Basic (Downgrade):
      1. Premium subscribers may downgrade to Basic at any time by cancelling their subscription. Premium benefits remain available until the end of the current billing period, after which the account will revert to Basic and Premium-only features will no longer be shown. The tutor's profile itself remains listed in the directory.
    3. Switching from Monthly to Annual (and vice versa):
      1. Premium subscribers may switch from a monthly to an annual plan or vice versa. The new plan will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, unless the tutor chooses to switch immediately, in which case prorated billing may apply.
  17. Renewal Confirmation
    1. After each renewal, a confirmation email will be sent to the subscriber detailing the transaction, including the amount charged and the next renewal date.
  18. Termination by the Service
