Hi

I'm a highly qualified English specialist with both high academic qualifications and years of experience, including examining experience. I am committed to my students as a professional tutor and this is evidenced in the numerous testimonials on my website over many years.

All lessons are bespoke and designed for that particular student's needs, abilities and aims. This means lessons are of immediate value because they are purposeful and transparent. I also guide students to know how to approach exam questions and what exactly they need to include to improve their response.

All lessons are online with free resources and the lesson documented for future reference eg revision.

I have a MA in Literature from Durham Uni so I don't just go through the motions of delivering a topic or explaining a poem or genre, but have an ingrained enthusiasm for the subject. This higher knowledge also makes the lessons more interesting whatever the age as I can make links and stretch more able students if needs be.

I also have a MSc in Psychology which means I teach this subject too upto post-grad level but for other students this is beneficial as
