As an experienced and qualified secondary school English teacher, private tutor and SEN specialist, my aim is to help pupils overcome the barriers to success in order to fulfil their academic potential.

With high expectations of all my pupils, I regularly assess learning and monitor progress in order to raise standards of attainment. By providing a step-by-step method for tackling the requirements of the public examination syllabus, I empower pupils to achieve and I have a track record of success at GCSE English Language and English Literature.

Working with pupils in small groups and on a 1-1 basis, I support pupils with learning difficulties, who are struggling academically, to embed core literacy skills and to build self-confidence so that they are better able to cope in their main class lessons.

My resources are highly differentiated to suit the needs of the individual and I employ a range of teaching methods to appeal to specific learning styles to effectively support pupils with learning difficulties including Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia.

In preparation for examinations, I provide revision workshops and I have produced supporting statements and compiled evidence for candidates requiring access arrangements.
