I am an experienced secondary English teacher and home educator. Over the past 26 years, I have had the privilege to work with thousands of young people, helping them to develop essential English skills and, hopefully, a love of English language and literature. I have a lot of experience in helping students to achieve highly in examinations and I am really proud of my past students’ successes. I have also worked with home educated students, international students and those with special educational needs.

As a tutor, it is a pleasure to work more closely with my students and really personalise their learning to them as individuals. This is why I offer a twenty minute telephone consultation before tuition begins: so I can learn as much as possible about your young person and their needs. My approach is individualised to each learner to help them develop confidence and achieve their goals, whatever they may be.
